1839 April, notice of a petition to the House of Lords and Commons for a Uniform Penny Postage. In an elaborate frame in red, printed by Charles Whiting. Archival tape affixed in left margin, exceptionally fresh and fine. Only 500 of these posters were printed of which very few remain. A superb exhibition item. Also a copy of a letter from Henry Cole recommending the display of this poster and return of signed petitions to him
