1840 (25 May) entire letter to Edinburgh bearing OA in black, large to very large margins and well tied by a neat strike of a very dark shade of red Maltese Cross, the reverse with a boxed Hamilton despatch datestamp and Edinburgh arrival. The colours of the postmarks have oxidised to deeper colours, nevertheless a good cover with a very fine adhesive
