1840 One Penny BlackCollections and RangesCoversAugust 1840: A collection of covers representing each day in August, some duplication of dates, mostly good to fine and includes Southampton Penny Post, Spooner caricature front from Windsor with additional 1d. the reverse bearing a wax seal of the Great Seal of Windsor, double-circle "more/to/pay" in red, boxed "No.10" in red, Landrake Penny Post, boxed "No.1" in black, local London cover cancelled by an experimental black Maltese Cross (an extremely early date) with "T.P./Charles St. West" in blue making a very good lot.
