1840 One Penny BlackPlate XICovers1841 (12 May) cover front and flap to Sydenham bearing HA, touched to good margins and well tied by black Maltese Cross with "T.P./Cornhill" in red alongside and London datestamps on the flap, manuscript "By overland via Bombay 23 March 1841" crossed through and the flap bears a fine strike of the very large oval of Gregson & Company Forwarding Agents cachet. A good piece with a lot of character
