1840 One Penny BlackPlate IVCovers1840 (23 July) printed letter from the Palladium Life Assurance Society to Kidderminster bearing LF in a deep shade, touched to very large margins and well tied by a good strike of brownish red Maltese Cross with a good strike of the despatch c.d.s. in black and a faint strike of "T.P./Pall Mall". The envelope was then turned and reused (with an additional enclosure) bearing 1840 2d. plate 1, CA in bright blue, margins just cut into to very large and tied by a light strike of bright red Maltese Cross and showing a good strike of the open circle Kidderminster despatch c.d.s. (18.7); vertical and horizontal folding creases and the lettersheet has been carefully refolded to show both address panels. A fine and unusual turned letter showing both one penny and two pence usage
