1840 One Penny BlackPlate IICovers1841 (24 June) entire letter sent from Uttoxeter to Lichfield bearing 1841 1d red, plate 9, DC cancelled by black Maltese Cross with the despatch stamp alongside. The cover was then turned and sent prepaid to Doctors Commons in London (27.6), finally turned again and resent to the first address (28.6) with 1840 1d. plate II, LC added and cancelled by black Maltese Cross with the original despatch c.d.s. crossed through; two vertical filing creases (one through the Penny Black) and some soiling. A very rare trice used cover
