Newfoundland Airmails 1930 (Oct.) "Miss Columbia" On October 9 1930 the "Miss Columbia" took off from Harbour Grace and after covering 2,650 miles was forced down on the beach at Tresco Island in the Scilly Isles 50c. on 36c., affixed upside down and tied by St. John´s machine d.s. of 25 September to envelope addressed to London, showing arrival c.d.s. of 13th October alongside and, on reverse, Harbour Grace datestamp of 9th October; also a complete forgery, stamp and postmark, on cover.
