Newfoundland Airmails 1927 (May) "Pinedo" Flight The Marchese Francesco de Pinedo reached Trepassy on 20 May 1927 in the course of his round the world flight in the Santa Maria II. On 23 May he took off on his attempt to fly to Rome via the Azores Supplementary Mail: Unoverprinted 60c. black, tied by Roma Centro arrival datestamp of 22nd June on envelope addressed to London and showing Trepassy c.d.s. of 21st May alongside; the envelope with large part of flap missing.
