Powerful, 8.6.1897-9.3.1900 and in H.M.S. Doris, 10.3.1900-10.6.1900; advanced Petty Officer 1st Class, 14.12.1911, and served during the Great War in H.M.S. Roxburgh (cruiser) and at a number of Shore Establishments; discharged 19.1.1923.
