Queen´s South Africa 1899-1902, one clasp, Cape Colony (Serjt: G. Vassie. I.Y. HP. Staff), officially re-impressed, solder repair to suspension claw, nearly very fine Estimate £ 80-100 Sergeant G. Vassie, Imperial Yeomanry, Hospital Staff died in a train accident at Worcester, 3.3.1900; Vassie was one of the Imperial Yeomanry´s earliest casualties of the War and possibly the first suffered by that force.
