Bank of Scotland, £10 (2), both dated 28. 6. 1938, serial numbers 3/C 0123 and 3/C 6462, orange-brown and grey, arms flanked by maidens at upper centre, obverse and reverse of the Great Seal of Scotland at left, Scotia in grey circular frame at centre, Elphinstone and Beveridge signatures [Douglas 113-1 (2); Pick 93a (2)], the first, the plate note in "20th Century Scottish Banknotes" Volume 1, 2nd Edition, page 52, ink figures at top, otherwise about very fine, the second, in a deeper shade, pencil figures at top, nicks in margins, otherwise good fine and rare (2) Estimate £ 400-600
