Great Britain Postal History The following thirty-five lots comprise a recently discovered group of letters of complaint addressed to the Post Office. Unless otherwise specified they are the contents only 1836 (11 Sept.) from General Walsh to Colonel William Maberley (Secretary to the G.P.O.), complaining about missent post between London and Harwich, endorsed "For Mr. Critchett´s immediate serious notice, has Manningtree reported this missending?" and in another hand "Yes-and it occurred in consequence of the Harwich & Manningtree bags having been exchanged which has been seriously noticed".
