Great Britain Postal History The following thirty-five lots comprise a recently discovered group of letters of complaint addressed to the Post Office. Unless otherwise specified they are the contents only 1834 (13 Oct.) from General Sir Howard Douglas (1776-1861), Governor of New Brunswick (1823-28), M.P. for Liverpool (1846-46), at Bath, to Sir Francis Freeling, concerning a parcel sent by Lady Douglas to her son, a midshipman in H.M.S. Thunderer, and requesting a refund of £2/9/6d. charged for its return. A very interesting letter regarding parcel postage via Falmouth Estimate £ 150-200
