Cape of Good Hope 1863-64 De La Rue Watermark Crown CC An exceptionally Rare Pair 1d. deep carmine-red on paper watermarked Crown CC, a square pair of this trial printing, large margins all round and of lovely deep rich colour, large part original gum; one with trace of a thin-spot in no way detracting from the superb appearance of this exceptionally rare multiple of which less than a handful exist. One of the great rarities of the Cape of Good Hope and an outstanding showpiece with wonderful provenance. R.P.S. Certificate (1980). S.G. 22.
