Victoria Travelling Post Offices The North Gippsland Line Using Numbers 8, 9, 15 and 16 T.P.O. No. 16 1892 (20 Apr.) 1 1/2d. on 1d. lilac reply paid card from Clayton to Melbourne and cancelled on arrival, the reply portion sent back to Clayton and cancelled at Melbourne (30.4) with a superb strike of the "down train/m.g.16" large octagon d.s. on the reverse (original outward side, most unusual, 1898 (23 Aug.) 2d. pink envelope (rebacked internally), uprated with 1/2d. pink, to Germany and cancelled with two fine "up train/m.g. 16" c.d.s., arrival c.d.s. (25.9) on reverse, 1905 postcard (toned) to Box Hill bearing 1d. cancelled by "up train/m.g. 16" large c.d.s., and 1909 picture postcard to England bearing 1d. red cancelled with fine "t.p.o. 17/down" Commonwealth type c.d.s.
