Victoria Travelling Post Offices The Ballarat Line Using Numbers 1 and 2 T.P.O. No. 2 1868 (29 Aug.) envelope (opened-out and rebacked) from Steiglitz to Horsham, bearing Laureated 2d. grey cancelled with Barred Oval "111" with c.d.s. adjacent, the reverse with a fine strike of the "down/travelling/post office/victoria/m.g.2." boxed datestamp alongside Meredith, Stawell and Horsham datestamps; the latest recorded date of this T.P.O. Photo Estimate £ 100-120 Note: TPO 2 was introduced at the same time as TPO 1 on 20 May 1865. It only ran on the original indirect route to Ballarat via Geelong. It was withdrawn from the line in 1890 and reallocated in 1898 to the South Gippsland Line
