War Tax Stamps Falkland Islands 1/2d. mint selection of varieties, comprising line perf. upper right corner pair with reversed albino overprint in the right-hand margin, line perf. marginal pair with each showing reversed "war stamp" offset on the reverse, comb perf. strip of three with the middle stamp showing wide space, thick greyish paper bluish green block of four with watermark reversed (two thinned, S.G. 70cx, £1,400, rare with only one sheet known) and yellowish green blocks of four (2), one from the upper left corner with [2] thick "r" and [8] with broken "w" and broken "p"; generally fine Estimate £ 400-500
