Cyprus Covers and Cancellations 1899 (19 Oct.) envelope from Anerley, London to Limassol, bearing 1880 1d. Plate 217 cancelled with c.d.s. and showing "t" and "1 1/2c.p." tax handstamps both deleted, marked "Unknown" and showing a variety of Cyprus transit c.d.s. on face and reverse, the cover eventually returned to address as shown on reverse and with London Returned Letter Office "Undelivered for reason stated" h.s. in violet; some minor staining though most unusual.
