Cyprus Covers and Cancellations 1883 (9 Apr.) envelope registered from Limassol to Egypt, bearing 1882-86 4pi. pale olive-green neatly cancelled with squared-circle d.s. and showing a superb strike of the very rare large double-lined "r" incorporating oval-framed "registered/cyprus" d.s. in red, only recorded in use in 1883, Cairo and Alexandria c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with faults at top through opening though remaining attractive.
