x British Post Offices Abroad Haiti 1879 (10 Dec.) envelope (opened-out) from Port au Prince "Per Royal Mail" to Glasgow bearing, on reverse, G.B. 1d. red Plate 218 block of twelve (2x6) thrice cancelled "E35" and tied by Port Au Prince c.d.s. with Glasgow arrival c.d.s. (29.12) alongside; two 1d. values damaged and the envelope with faults in places, mainly through opening. A rare and impressive franking.
