x India Used Abroad Dutch East Indies 1856 (20 Mar.) entire, docketed as emanating from Surabaya, "Via Marseilles" to Amsterdam, bearing 1854 2a. green horizontal strip of four with clear to large margins nearly all round and showing part marginal line at right, placed inverted and with varying degrees of diamond of dots cancellations, showing French rate mark and "indes or./2/marseille" transit c.d.s. (27.4), large part Singapore c.d.s. and arrival c.d.s. (28.4) on reverse; horizontal crease at top and other small imperfections; the stamps not tied, sold on it´s merits and not subject to return.
