x India 1854 Issue Issued Stamps Covers To France 1855 (1 Jan.) small entire from Pondicherry to Vendome, bearing 1/2a. blue Die I and 1a. red Die II horizontal pair and strip of six (affixed on reverse), margins largely all round and cancelled with diamond of dots, showing despatch d.s., crescent-framed "india paid", boxed "madras/g.p.o." d.s. and "10" rate h.s., the reverse with three French transit c.d.s., one additionally tying the strip.
