St. Helena Postal Stationery Cards 1896 1d. handpainted essays in two differing designs showing Jamestown Harbour, both executed in crimson-lake with small portions of the designs touched-up in Chinese white, each executed on card (114x90mm.) dated "9th. April. 96.", the first (close to the issued design), lettered "A", on piece of India paper affixed to the card, the second, lettered "B", with the design executed direct on to the card.
