Services Nationaux Francais des Nouvelles Hebrides, a set of the emergency World War II issued in 1943 and comprising 5 francs, serial number 14426, green and blue, Cross of Lorraine top centre, value in blue within wreath of palms at centre, 20 francs, serial number 03986, value in black at centre, 100 francs, serial number 2051, value in pale blue at centre, 500 francs, serial number 1235, value in orange at centre and 1000 francs, serial number 1070, value in red at centre, all ND (1943-1944) (Pick 1,2,,3,3A,3B, Kolsky 706,707,708,709,710, Schwan-Boling 1701b,1702b,1703b,1704,1705, the last two unknown according to author) , small black rectangular handstamp at top right on reverse ´SERVICE DU TRESOR NOUVELLES HEBRIDES ANNULE´, of the highest rarity, only 5000 of the 100 francs printed and only 1500 of the 500 and 1000 francs printed. Kolsky states the 1000 were all ´rembourses´. An exceptional set, fresh and original, soft crease on the 100 at centre otherwise uncirculated (5) Estimate £ 34,000-38,000
