† Great Britain Postal History Newspapers The Times, September 6, 1839, two papers, with an article on page 2 headed "Postage" being minutes of the Board of Treasury carrying into effect the Act for establishing a reduced and uniform Rate of Postage. The Act had already received the Royal Assent but that the Lords had discretion in its implementation. A long discussion on the merits and points for them to consider.
