Natal 1859 (21 July) small envelope, complete with original letter from husband to wife, from Richmond to Pietermaritzburg, bearing 1857-61 embossed 3d. rose large example (35x39mm.), fresh colour, folded over at top and with tear at left, cancelled with manuscript "Richmond"; envelope with small fault at foot and docketed "Letters written while building at Deepdene 1859".
