Yeo.), virtually mint state, housed in a fitted leather case, the case embossed ´R.T.O.S.´ Estimate £ 250-300 Captain Robert Thomas Oliver Sheriffe, Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Nottinghamshire (Sherwood Rangers) Yeomanry Cavalry, March 1897; promoted Lieutenant, February 1899; served with the 3rd Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry during the Boer War, and was present at the actions at Spitzkop, Lindley, and Rhenoster River; Captain, 20.3.1901.
