Anonymous (mid 6th century) AR (2), 1.21g, 0.86g, crowned and draped bust facing, with trace of gilding on crown without spikes, Ge´ez legend ngs ´ksm "King of Aksum", with Ge´ez monogram ´gd to left, rev. arch supported by columns, containing cross with trace of gilding, Ge´ez legend zy´by lmdxn + ngs "The King who exalts the Saviour" (AC 126; H 69), the first very fine but several chips and some corrosion; the second fine with some corrosion (2) Estimate £ 100-150
