x Austria An Exceptionally Rare Pre-Official First Day of Issue Usage 1887-1900 Jubilee Issue 1850 hand-made paper 3k. red, type Ia, I, Plate 1, fresh colour and good to large margins all round, uncancelled on 1850 (31 May) entire letter from the famous Riedler correspondence to Spital am Pyhrn and showing blue kirchdorf/31. may. two-line datestamp alongside; the adhesive with a few minor wrinkles, otherwise fine. A wonderful and highly important cover, being both the last day of Austrian pre-stamp and pre-official usage of postage stamps.
