Singapore India used in Singapore 1855-67 Issues 1863 (Mar.) envelope registered to Lewisham, marked "Via Southampton" and "Stamped 8as & Registered", bearing 4a. black (damaged) and 8a. carmine, both crossed by ink stroke and cancelled "B/172", showing framed "registered no" in red (Type R2, earliest recorded date) and, on reverse, "singapore/p.o." double-ring datestamp and arrival c.d.s.
