Penang Covers and Cancellations Nibong Tebal 1879 (6 Apr.) envelope to Edinburgh, marked "Via Brindisi", bearing 1867-72 4c. rose and 12c. blue (both with some lightly foxed perfs) tied by diamond of dots (Type K1, earliest recorded date) with "nebong tabal/paid" c.d.s. (Type PD1, earliest recorded date) in opposite corner, both in blue, showing red Penang c.d.s. (7.4) with arrival d.s. on reverse. An attractive and important franking.
