Gibraltar 1886 (1 January) Overprinted on Stamps of Bermuda Issue, Covers The following section offers what is almost certainly the finest group of these first issue covers ever assembled in one collection. It features a number of remarkable frankings and rates, together with some most unusual destinations 1886 (9 Feb.) 2d. K size registered envelope to Berlin, uprated with 1d. rose-red (5) and 2 1/2d. ultramarine with blue-black overprint all cancelled "A26" and with Registered oval d.s. towards left, the reverse with Algeciras (10.2), San Fernando (11.2), Madrid (12.2) and arrival (15.2) d.s.; minor creasing though very rare with few of these large size envelopes surviving.
