Great Britain Postal History 1859 (25 Jan.) large part printed letter form addressed To the Lord Bishop of Salisbury franked in advance by 1856-58 1d. and additionally bearing Sardinia 1855-63 40c. brick-red horizontal pair with margins all round, Nizza Mar.a cancellations (just touching the 1d.), boxed "timbre insuffisant" and red "more to pay" handstamps; reverse with red London and black Salisbury datestamps (29.1); the 1d. lifted for examination and hinged into place.
