Great Britain Postal History 1853 (3 June) stampless envelope addressed to Count Alphonse Mensdorf-Pouilly, Boskowitz (Poland) with a six page enclosure (2 sheets) with the embossed monogram of Queen Victoria in blue, headed Buckingham Palace. A conversational letter, written in German, from the Queen to her first cousin thanking him for his birthday good wishes, his health and other matters, signed "V.R.", the envelope with "P" in oval, "paid" datestamp and "aus england per aachen franco" all in red on the front; the reverse with Breslau, Kandrzin and Boskowiz transit and arrival markings; fine.
