Contemporary polished tan half calf, contrasting red and green labels, gilt; neatly re-backed, with the original backs laid on; speckled page edges. Exceptionally clean and fresh internally. With the oval cypher of the Society of Writers to the Signet in gilt at centre of upper and lower cover of all volumes. Rare in such fine condition, and perhaps the very best set we have seen.
