Edward the Confessor, Penny, 0.88g, radiate type, Leicester, Blacaman, radiate bust left, rev. +blacaman o leh, cross pattée within inner circle (N.816; S.1173), flan cracks, toned, nearly very fine, very rare Estimate £ 500-600 Blacaman is a moneyer associated with the coins of Nottingham and Derby. This is the only example for him working at Leicester, a mint recorded for just six coins for this issue.
