Lon: Div: R.A.), minor official correction to unit of last, generally very fine, all with contemporary silver top-riband buckles (3) Estimate £ 450-500 23304 Gunner George Barker, born Nottingham; served in the Royal Sherwood Foresters Regiment of Militia prior to enlistment in the Royal Artillery, 1867; served with the 11th/9th Brigade during the Second Afghan War, 1878-80, and received a sword cut to the head, 13.4.1880, during the operations in the Hisarak Valley; awarded the L.S. & G.C., 1888, and discharged the following year.
