x Conspicuous Service Cross, E.VII.R., silver, hallmark illegible, nearly extremely fine and Rare Estimate £ 800-1,000 Between 1901-1913 only eight awards of the C.S.C. were made, all being Edward VII issues to the Royal Navy. The Cross was re-designated "The Distinguished Service Cross" in 1914. Provenance: Glendining 16.12.1991, when it was stated - ´Although it is not possible to read the hallmark, this cross has been examined by the makers - Garrard & Co. Ltd. - and they confirm it is genuine.´
