Smith, Australian Imperial Force British War and Victory Medals (2151 Pte. L.J. Smith. 39 Bn. A.I.F.), lacquered, nearly extremely fine, with the recipient´s identity tag and shoulder title; and three ANZAC commemorative medallions (4) Estimate £ 150-180 2244 Private Richard Tate O´Connell, of Richmond, Victoria; served with the 37th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force during the Great War; killed in action on the Western Front, 12.10.1917, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. 2151 Private Leslie James Smith, of Cavendish, Victoria; enlisted in the 39th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force, 22.5.1916; killed in action on the Western Front, 7.6.1917, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
