Silver Yuan and Unit Stamps Fukien Double Characters: A complete set of 10c. surcharges showing the varieties double yi ordouble yu at top on $200 green, 3000 blue, $4000 grey, $100,000 green and $1,000,000 plum; unused. An extremely rare set of the upmosts importance. Ex Warren Kauder. Photo Estimate HK$ 100,000-150,000 Most of the double character varieties were removed by the Postal Authorites and destroyed. This set was one of Robert Yue´s most cherished possessions which he held in the highest esteem. Some of these varieties are very scarce to rare whilst those on the $200 are only recored by Jones, the $1,000,000 are not recorded in any of the major references. After much study on this variety he concluded that this is the only complete set in existance
