Great British: Plymouth, Devonport & District Tramways Company, £10 shares, 188[3], #93, scrollwork at left, brown, printed by Waterlow & Sons. Established by Act of Parliament in 1882 to build a 10.5 mile network of steam operated tramway in the Three Towns and as far east as Plympton. Onl;y 2 of the 7 routes were built, from West Hoe via Millbay to Hyde Park Corner at Mutley and town centre to Southside Street in the Barbican. They failed to raise more funds so sold to Plymouth Tramways Compny in 1886. VF and rare.
