AMOR · POPVLI · PRÆSIDIVM · REGIS (m.m.), three-masted ship with Royal Arms on main sail, 3.93g, 12h, m.m. anchor [and castle over head on obv.] / anchor [over castle on reverse] (Spink 2683A; N.2144; Schneider [1960] dies 0-4a/R-5, pl. XV, no. 8, cf. SCBI Schneider II, nos 107-108; Brooker -), a small striking split at 4 o'clock, otherwise on a full round flan, good fine, and extremely rare, being unknown to Montagu or Brooker and unparalleled beyond the British Museum cabinet example, once touched by Royal hands to cure the 'King's sickness'
