AVTEM : TRANSIENS : PER : MEDIVM : ILLORVM : IBAT, double saltire stops, floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, large R in centre, 7.05g, 2h, i.m. cross pattée (Isladulcie -; Schneider I, 180 same dies [cf. 174 for same die in unaltered state]; Clarendon 435; Broughton 410; Webb-Ware 3c; N.1307[2] var.; Spink 1663), clipped slightly small, otherwise a most pleasing coin of competent fine workmanship, very fine, the altered dies type extremely rare with only two previous examples offered at global public auction this millennium!
