1865 (25 Mar.) soldier's envelope from Fort de France to Charente, beaing Eagle 10c. bistre vertical pair (cut-into) tied by "mqe" in lozenge, showing despatch c.d.s., "corr. d'armees/fort de france" octagonal d.s. in blue, "mexique/imp. eugenie" octagonal d.s. (30.3; Salles 1336) which was applied in error and "mexique/imp. eugenie" octagonal d.s. (30.3; Salles 1338) with arrival datestamp on reverse; some light staining. Rare. Photo
