1860 (18 July) entire (left side flap missing) ex the Tucker correspondence from St. John's to Baltimore, bearing 8d. scarlet-vermilion right half with two clear margins bisected vertically, clearly tied by oval of bars, showing red despatch c.d.s. overstruck by Boston transit d.s. (7.8) and handstruck "5"; two light filing creases clear of adhesive and markings. Very rare. Greene Foundation Certificate (2000). S.G. 8a, £4250. Photo
