1860 entire to Paris marked "Care of English Mail", originally bearing a first issue stamp (the impression of a cancellation is still apparent) which was removed and "Paid/8d" in red ink was written instead and the space cancelled by "harper/liberia" circular h.s. in blue, showing London Paid c.d.s. (11.6) in red, circular-framed "pd" (deleted) and Calais entry datestamp with arrival c.d.s. on reverse. Very rare and most unusual. Holcombe Certificate (1993). Photo
