Paris Hippodrome Skating Rink Company. Share £1. 30.11.1909. #1008. Redbrown/Green. The Hippodrome de Montmartre, placed between Place de Clichy and the Cimetière de Montmartre was built for the Exposition universelle in 1900 and was used as a skating rink for several years. This British company from Liverpool took over the rink, but was liquidated in 1911. The Hippodrome then was turned into the Gaumont-Palace, the "world's biggest cinema". It was demolished in 1973. In ornamented gold frame with passepartout. VF.
