SPINK AWARDED ADDITIONAL ROYAL WARRANT

Spink are pleased to announce the award of an additional Royal Warrant, by Command of Her Majesty The Queen for their services in Philately. On 12th September 2005 Spink were officially appointed into the place and quality of Medallists and Philatelists to Her Majesty The Queen.

Spink and Son have a long and illustrious history of both medal manufacturing and medal design for the Royal family. During the reign of Queen Victoria, Spink were commissioned to produce the medals commemorating her Diamond Jubilee in 1897, and in 1900 were honoured with their first Royal Warrant as Medallists to Queen Victoria. Spink have now held Royal Warrants throughout six successive reigns and are currently medallists to Her Majesty The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales. The company accepts commissions to design and manufacture medals, orders and decorations and state gifts from nations within the Commonwealth and from countries throughout the world. Spink provide a variety of medal-related services, including supplying and mounting medals (both full-size and miniatures), together with making sashes, neck ribbons and ribbon bars.

Spink have had a very close working relationship with the Royal Philatelic Collection over the years and in 2001 auctioned duplicate stamps and covers from the Royal Collection in a landmark sale in London.
