The Edward M. Gilbert Collection: Part IV - Important Stamps and Covers of the British Empire

Foreword by Greg Manning

It is with great pleasure that H.R. Harmer, Inc. of New York and Spink of London present to you the Edward M. Gilbert Collection of the British Empire. Certainly, Mr Gilbert's collection ranks high amongst the finest collections formed of the British Empire with an excellent degree of completeness including many errors and varieties. I will not enumerate the dozens of rarities in the Gilbert collection as reviewing the pages of the catalogue will reveal the depth of Mr Gilbert's devotions to obtaining a diverse range of scarce and rare stamps from almost every colony.
