1831-64 Minister correspondence selection (3), including 1831 and 1839 cancelled by crowned free c.d.s both signed Melbourne and 1864 bearing 1d. red signed Palmerston. Slightly mixed condition, though an interesting historical trio.

Lord Palmerston and Lord Melbourne were both politicians who served twice as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, Australia, was named in his honour in March 1837 when at the time he was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
